Interface interference
is a type of "dark pattern" in user experience (UX) design that
manipulates visual elements to manipulate, confuse, or trick users into taking
unintended actions. It limits the visibility of important information while highlighting
preferred, often non-beneficial, actions, such as pre-selecting opt-in boxes or
hiding unsubscribe buttons.
